Diana and Tim were an exciting couple to design a wedding for from the word go. They had a great bold colour scheme and vibrant personalities so I knew that the day was going to be fun! However, things took a different turn when their wedding clashed with ‘A Day On The Green’ and they were told that ‘Florence and The Machine’ and twenty thousand other people would be at the same venue on the same day as their wedding.
They looked to me for guidance as to whether they should go ahead, change the date or change the venue. Knowing the venue well and also my team, I knew we could not only pull this off, but it would make for one epic wedding!
The journey became so much more emotional for me as I spent many more hours than normal, meeting with the couple and the venue, and hours on the phone reassuring an obviously very nervous bride. The friendship we built through this experience and the trust they put in me was so evident on the day, when at the end of the night, Diana enveloped me in a teary thankful cuddled and asked when does she get to see me again. It’s so sweet that the bond we create, isn’t broken by the end of the wedding.
This is what it is all about for me!
